FAQ’s

What is a short circuit?

A short circuit occurs when a “hot” wire comes into contact with a “neutral” or “ground” wire, creating a path of low resistance. This causes a surge of current, which can overheat wires and pose a fire hazard.

What’s the difference between a fuse and a circuit breaker?

Fuses melt a metal strip to break the circuit, requiring replacement.
Circuit breakers “trip” a switch, which can be reset.
